This Source-Available Dual License Agreement (the "Agreement") is between EDBN ("EDBN" or "Licensor") and the person or entity that accesses, downloads, installs, copies, modifies, or uses the Licensed Materials ("you" or "Licensee"). By doing any of those acts, you accept this Agreement. If you do not accept it, do not access, download, install, copy, modify, or use the Licensed Materials.

1. Licensed Materials
"Licensed Materials" means only the public source files, registry output, MCP server files, and technical documentation that EDBN distributes as part of the edbn/ui public packages or identifies as licensed at the time you obtain them. This includes public OSS components, registry output, the MCP package, published code examples, and technical documentation bundled with those distributables.
Licensed Materials do not include the private website application, authentication, analytics, billing, infrastructure, tests, deployment configuration, unpublished source, EDBN branding, trademarks, logos, marketing copy, screenshots, recordings, or other editorial material unless a separate written notice expressly includes that material. Dependencies, fonts, icons, images, datasets, and other third-party material are not included and remain subject to their own licenses.
"Application" means a substantially complete software product that provides independent functionality to its users. A standalone library, design system, registry, template pack, marketplace, source archive, or similar reuse-focused offering is not an Application. "Commercial Use" means use directed toward commercial advantage, monetary compensation, revenue, paid client work, or operation by a for-profit organization.
2. Free Noncommercial License
Subject to this Agreement, EDBN grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the Licensed Materials solely for noncommercial purposes. Permitted uses include personal, educational, research, nonprofit, evaluation, and noncommercial internal use.
You may incorporate the Licensed Materials into a noncommercial Application and may publish them as source only when they are part of a larger Application repository that is not distributed primarily to make the Licensed Materials available for reuse. You may distribute compiled or bundled versions as part of that Application. You must preserve this license and all copyright, attribution, and third-party notices.
This license includes a reasonable evaluation period of up to 30 consecutive days to decide whether to obtain the Pro commercial license. Evaluation copies may not be used to operate a revenue-generating product or service.

While you have an active Pro subscription purchased through EDBN's authorized checkout, EDBN grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, compile, and distribute Licensed Materials obtained during the active subscription in commercial Applications, client work, internal business systems, and hosted Applications.
The license for each copy lawfully obtained during the active subscription, including derivative works created from that copy, continues after the subscription is cancelled or expires, provided you comply with this Agreement. Cancellation or expiry ends access to new Pro-only materials, updates, and subscription benefits. It does not revoke rights in copies previously obtained under this section.
You may provide source to employees, contractors, and a client only as reasonably necessary to create, maintain, or use the authorized Application, subject to confidentiality and use restrictions that protect the Licensed Materials. You may distribute an Application repository containing Licensed Materials only when the repository is a complete Application and is not distributed primarily as a reusable library, design system, registry, or source archive.
4. Restrictions
You must not:
- sell, rent, lease, sublicense, transfer, or redistribute the Licensed Materials as a standalone product;
- create or distribute a component library, design system, registry, template pack, marketplace, or competing product whose primary purpose is to make the Licensed Materials available for reuse;
- mirror or republish EDBN's registry, MCP service, source archive, or public distribution channel;
- publish the Licensed Materials under another name or remove, alter, or obscure required notices;
- use EDBN's name, marks, logos, trade dress, or branding to imply sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement;
- use the Licensed Materials unlawfully or in breach of a third-party right;
- extract private source, credentials, personal data, or third-party assets through the Licensed Materials; or
- use an MCP credential or hosted service to bypass access controls, evade limits, reconstruct restricted material, or provide unauthorized access.
5. Ownership and Third-Party Rights
The Licensed Materials are licensed, not sold. EDBN and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the Licensed Materials. You retain ownership of your independent Application code and modifications, subject to EDBN's rights in the underlying Licensed Materials and the rights of third parties.
This Agreement grants no patent, trademark, trade dress, publicity, privacy, database, or other right except the limited copyright rights expressly stated here. Third-party licenses and notices control the third-party material to which they apply.
6. Contributions
Contributions are governed by the contribution terms published in the repository. You must have authority to submit a contribution, and it must not include confidential information, trade secrets, malware, personal data that you lack permission to disclose, or third-party material that you are not authorized to license. No contribution changes the ownership or license of third-party material.
7. Fees and Related Terms
The Pro subscription, pricing, billing, cancellation, refunds, taxes, account access, and hosted-service terms are governed by the Terms of Use and the terms shown at checkout. No price is granted or promised by this Agreement. Licensing questions may be sent to license@edbn.me.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSED MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SECURITY, OR QUIET ENJOYMENT. EDBN DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE LICENSED MATERIALS WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ACCESSIBLE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR APPLICATION.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDBN AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE LICENSED MATERIALS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EDBN'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE LICENSED MATERIALS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF USD 100 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO EDBN FOR THE RELEVANT LICENSE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. Nothing in this Agreement limits liability that applicable law does not permit to be limited.
10. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless EDBN and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, suppliers, and licensors from claims, damages, liabilities, judgments, settlements, and reasonable legal fees arising from your breach of this Agreement, unlawful use of the Licensed Materials, or Application, service, content, or modification that you create or distribute. EDBN will give reasonably prompt notice of a claim and reasonable cooperation at your expense. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits fault by or imposes an obligation on EDBN without EDBN's prior written consent.
11. Termination
The noncommercial license and any Pro license continue until terminated. EDBN may terminate this Agreement immediately for an incurable breach and may terminate it for a curable material breach if you do not cure the breach within 30 days after written notice. Pro subscription expiry or cancellation alone does not terminate rights in copies obtained during the active subscription under Section 3.
If this Agreement is terminated because of your breach, you must stop using and distributing the affected Licensed Materials and delete prohibited copies in your possession or control. Sections concerning ownership, restrictions, third-party rights, fees owed, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, termination effects, and general provisions survive termination.
12. General Provisions
This Agreement is governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where EDBN maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict of law rules. Subject to mandatory consumer law, the courts of competent jurisdiction in that place have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from this Agreement.
The Terms of Use govern the hosted Service, accounts, subscriptions, billing, and payments. The Privacy Policy governs personal information. Third-party licenses govern third-party material. A written item-specific license or signed agreement controls over this Agreement for the material it expressly covers. This Agreement otherwise controls the Licensed Materials.
EDBN may update this Agreement prospectively by publishing a revised version with a new effective date. A revised version does not retroactively remove rights in copies lawfully obtained under an earlier version, except that a material breach may terminate those rights. No delay or failure to enforce a provision is a waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect.
You may not assign this Agreement without EDBN's prior written consent. EDBN may assign it in connection with a reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or transfer of the relevant rights. The parties are independent contractors. This Agreement does not create an agency, partnership, employment, fiduciary, or third-party beneficiary relationship.
