# Sign-in with passkey and SSO

Kilnwork's sign-in for schools and multi-studio teams: a passkey first, single sign-on by work email or domain, then email and password, in one centred card.

A passkey is the primary way in; it shows a pending state, and a device with no passkey gets a short explanation and a retry. The sample's passkey always fails. Continue with single sign-on turns the card into one field for a work email or a school's domain. An unknown domain comes back from the sample server as a field error; a known one (hollowayschool.example) shows Redirecting to your identity provider, with a way back. Email and password are built on the Pro forms, with a reset link on the password's label row: a wrong password is one form error and the fifth wrong try says when to try again; kiln-2026 signs in. The card's steps share one grid cell, so the card keeps its height and focus moves with each step. It opens as it looks after a failed passkey, with the email filled in; sample={false} opens it empty.

## Installation

This is a Pro item. Once per project, create a token at https://ui.edbn.me/dashboard/tokens, put it in `.env.local` as `EDBN_TOKEN`, and add the registry to `components.json`:
