# Incident banner

A service incident across the top of an app: severity, what it affects, start time in local time, last update, the status page and earlier updates.

The banner leads with a warning icon, the incident's title and a severity badge, then the newest update, what it affects, when it started in the viewer's own time and locale, and how long ago it was updated, which keeps counting. View status page and Dismiss sit on the right; in a narrow banner the status link moves under the text. Earlier updates fold under it with their times. It's shown over the app's header, so it reads in place. Dismiss folds the banner away and leaves the incident as a link in the header, which brings it back; focus moves between the two and screen readers hear the change.

## Installation

This is a Pro item. Once per project, create a token at https://ui.edbn.me/dashboard/tokens, put it in `.env.local` as `EDBN_TOKEN`, and add the registry to `components.json`:
